How YUSTELLAR handles the information you send us through this website, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated: 13 August 2026

In short

We collect what you send us

This is a business enquiry site. The information we hold about you is almost entirely what you typed into an enquiry form, plus the technical details your browser sends with it.

No advertising, no selling

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. It is used to answer your enquiry and to run the resulting business relationship.

You can ask us to delete it

Email sales@yustellar.com and we will give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, or delete it.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by YUSTELLAR, a manufacturer of custom container and modular building solutions for commercial projects. For the purposes of data protection law, YUSTELLAR is the controller of the personal information described in this policy — meaning we decide what is collected and why.

Registered entity details To be confirmed
The registered company name and address of the controlling entity will be published here once confirmed. Until then, please use the contact details in section 12 for any privacy request — requests sent there are handled in the same way and within the same timescales.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the enquiry form, the quote request form, or send us drawings, we receive whatever you enter. Depending on the form, that is:

  • Your name
  • Your work email address
  • Your company name
  • Your phone number, where the form asks for it
  • The project location, where the form asks for it
  • The project type you select
  • The message you write
  • Any files you attach — for example drawings, specifications or site photographs (PDF, DWG, DXF, images, Office documents and archives are accepted)

If you email or call us directly, we hold that correspondence too. We do not require you to create an account, and this website has no user registration or comment function.

Information collected automatically when you submit a form

Submitting a form also records technical information sent by your browser and connection. We use it to identify spam, to keep a record of where an enquiry came from, and to route it to the right sales contact:

  • Your IP address
  • Your browser's user-agent string
  • The referring page, and the page of this site you submitted the form from
  • An approximate location — country, region and city — derived from your IP address by a third-party lookup service. This is an estimate based on your network, not your device location; we do not collect GPS or precise location data.
  • The date and time of the submission

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs of requests made to this website, which include IP addresses. These are kept for operational and security purposes.

What we do not collect

We do not collect special category data (such as health, religious or biometric information), and we ask that you do not send it to us. We do not build advertising or behavioural profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use the information for the following purposes only. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, the legal basis for each purpose is shown alongside it.

PurposeLegal basis
Answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Reviewing drawings and specifications you send, and advising on feasibility Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Managing an order and the resulting business relationship Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Detecting and blocking spam and abusive submissions Our legitimate interest in keeping the website usable (Art. 6(1)(f))
Keeping a record of enquiries for internal reference and dispute handling Our legitimate interest in running the business (Art. 6(1)(f))
Meeting accounting, tax, customs and export obligations Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))

We do not send marketing emails from this website's enquiry forms. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and you will be able to withdraw it at any time.

4. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies on visitors, and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracking on these pages. Cookies are only set for administrators who log in to manage the site.

Some parts of the page are loaded from third-party services, which means your browser makes a request to them and they receive your IP address as a technical necessity of delivering the file. These are listed in section 5.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with the following categories of recipient, and only as far as needed:

RecipientWhat they receive, and why
Our hosting provider Stores this website and its database, including enquiry records. Acts on our instructions.
Our email provider Delivers enquiry notifications to our sales team, and our replies to you.
IP geolocation service Receives the IP address of a form submission and returns an approximate country, region and city. We currently use ipapi.co.
Content delivery networks Serve styling and placeholder images to your browser. Your IP address is visible to them as part of that request. This site currently loads assets from Tailwind CSS and, on pages still awaiting final photography, placehold.co.
Our own group companies and production team Your enquiry and any drawings are reviewed by the engineering and production staff who need to assess and quote the work.
Professional advisers and authorities Where we are required to disclose information by law, or need advice on a legal claim.

6. International transfers

YUSTELLAR manufactures in China, and enquiries are reviewed by engineering and production staff there. If you contact us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another country with data transfer rules, your information will therefore be transferred outside that country.

Transfer safeguards To be confirmed
The specific safeguard we rely on for these transfers, and the country in which this website is hosted, will be stated here once confirmed. If you need this information before then, please ask us using the details in section 12 and we will answer you directly.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records and attachments for as long as needed to answer the enquiry and to manage any business relationship that follows, and then for as long as we may need them to deal with a dispute or to meet accounting, tax, customs and export record-keeping obligations. Where a project goes ahead, technical drawings are retained with the project file so that units can be supported, repaired or reordered later.

Specific retention periods To be confirmed
Defined retention periods for enquiry records and for project files will be published here once set. In the meantime, you can ask us at any time to delete what we hold about you — see section 9.

8. Security

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you type into a form is encrypted in transit. Enquiry records are stored in the website database and access is limited to staff who need it. Access to the website's administration area is restricted to named accounts.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you need to send commercially sensitive drawings, tell us and we will agree a suitable channel and a non-disclosure agreement before you send anything.

9. Your rights

Whichever country you are in, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email sales@yustellar.com and we will respond. We do not charge for this, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased in certain circumstances
  • Restrict how we process your data in certain circumstances
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority, or to the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request its deletion, to request its correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months. Because of this there is no opt-out mechanism to provide — there is nothing to opt out of.

Other regions

If your local law gives you rights over your personal information that are not listed above, contact us and we will honour them.

10. Children

This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do with information changes — for example if we add analytics, a chat widget, or a new service provider. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly rather than relying on this page alone.

12. How to contact us

For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights in section 9, contact us at sales@yustellar.com. Please put "Privacy" in the subject line so it reaches the right person quickly.

You can also reach us through the contact page. Please do not send drawings or commercially sensitive files with a privacy request — we only need enough information to identify your records.

Questions about your data?

Email us and we will tell you exactly what we hold, or delete it on request.
